NOCTUA BLEND 2014 (Vino de la Tierra de Castilla)
Type: 50% Tempranillo, 25% Graciano, 15% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot
Tasting Notes:
Noctua means Owl in Latin. The grapes for Noctua are harvested at night. The Tempranillo grapes in Noctua are over 50 years old, with the other varieties being 16-18 years old average. This is also a great example of these Calatrava lands, with a very rich nose of ripe red fruits and some blackberries. It is a spicy wine with notes of Vanilla, flowers, minerals, toffee, and dark chocolate. In the mouth is very smooth and velvety, but rich and structured with a long finish. It spends 6 months in mostly French and some American oak barrels. This wine should improve considerably in the next few moths and have a long shelf life.
Viticulture Technics:
