Tasting Notes:
The very warm aromas with mineral (Priorat) and balsamic notes like rosemary and incense surround the blackberry, black currant and plum aromas perfectly. Mas Sinen has a very complex and expressive nose. In the mouth, it is very warm, powerful, but also very elegant and fleshy. It has a long lasting and intense but elegant finish, filled with minerals, berries, balsamic notes and cacao. This is an absolute wonder to be enjoyed at anytime. It will pair perfectly with stews, red meats, cured cheeses (Manchego, Mahon…) Great for sipping. Keep it and enjoy it for the next 15-17 years!
Viticulture Technics:
Vines planted in the late 50s, organically grown.
21 day maceration
12 months aging in French (90%) & American (10%) oak barrels
Clarification with white egg and very soft filtration
Alc. 14% by Vol.

2006 - 92 POINTS ROBERT PARKERS WINE ADVOCATE

The 2006 Negre is a blend of 35% Garnacha, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carinena, and 10% Syrah aged for 12 months in mostly French oak. Purple-colored, it offers up an aromatic array of crushed stone, spice box, violets, black cherry, and blueberry. On the palate it has plenty of succulent blue and black fruit, excellent depth of flavor, a bit of structure, and a lengthy finish. Drink it from 2011 to 2020.

Mas Sinen is located in the village of Poboleda. The winery dates back to the 19th century and has been in the hands of the current owners for several generations. They hold 15 hectares of vineyard which are farmed organically.

"The 2005 Tradition is a blend of 35% Garnacha, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carinena, and 10% Syrah. The wine was aged in predominantly French oak for 12 months. Dark crimson-colored, it has an alluring bouquet of wood smoke, slate, cherry, blueberry, and plum. This is followed by a ripe, full-bodied wine with intense, spicy flavors, well-concealed tannins, and a long, pure finish. Although it will evolve for several years, it can be enjoyed now and over the next 10-12 years.

"The purple-colored 2004 Mas Sinen is a blend of 35% Garnacha, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Carinena, and 10% Syrah aged for 12 months in French and American oak. The attractive nose offers up cedar, liquid mineral, incense, black cherry, and black currant. Structured and full-bodied, this layered wine has 3-5 years of aging potential and will deliver optimum drinking from 2013 to 2024. Mas Sinen is located in the village of Poboleda. The winery dates back to the 19th century and has been in the hands of the current owners for several generations. They hold 15 hectares of vineyard which are farmed organically."
