BODEGAS ILLANA D.O. RIBERA DEL JUCAR
It was in 1626 when Felipe IV awarded the Illana family with the beautiful Finca Buenavista estate as a gift for their loyalty to the crown.
The estate is next to the town of Pozoamargo in the province of Cuenca, in the northeast corner of La Mancha and inside of the Ribera del Jucar Denomination of Origin.
This region is slightly different from the great appellation of La Mancha; the soil is more calcareous and it is full of river pebbles, which helps retain humidity in the dry season of this continental region.
Today the estate has 100 hectares of vines, planted between 1975 and 2000. The varieties planted in the estate are Bobal, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc for reds and Moscatel, Airen and Sauvignon Blanc for whites.
The dovecote has always been an integral part of the estate and so a dove has become the symbol of the winery, represented on the wine labels.

3 months on the lees. Aging over its lees provides the highly aromatic characteristic of Sauvignon Blanc combined with the crisp, fresh taste of Airén. It is lemon yellow, clear, bright, smooth and quiet iridescence. On the nose, varietal characteristics combine perfectly giving a complex assembly and cheerful. The palate is lively, unctuous and persistent, balanced and frank. Perfumed and pleasant aftertaste. Vegan.

3 months in French oak. It is a wine that has cherry red color with violet iridescence, it is clean and bright. Nose: lactic, intense and fruity. The palate is lively, light, without complexities, sweet and easily accessible. In retro-nasal it produces memories of berries and peach. It is, overall, a balanced, fresh, silky and elegant wine.

Barrel fermented and aged for 6 months (500L French oak barrels). Lemon yellow color, bright and dense. On the nose, the citrus aromas stand out on a background of fresh herbs, fennel and tarragon. A full flavour, tasty, structured, rich flavor with toasted fine.

16 months French oak barrels. Cherry red color, bright and clean, medium-high layer. On the nose, it is wild, balsamic, spicy, floral, with a ripe black fruit and a refined roast. In the mouth, the entrance is wide and deep. Fresh and with volume, balanced tannin, intense and elegant, with pleasant retro-nasal.
