MARQUÉS DE LA CONCORDIA D.O. CAVA
This estate was founded in 1882, in the major wine producing area of the Alt Penedés, Barcelona’s famous wine and Cava country. The Marques de la Concordia estate was formerly a Cistercian monastery dating back to the 12th century. Since its beginning, it has been dedicated to the production of quality still wine using grapes from surrounding vineyards and, later, also to the production of Cavas made in the traditional method. The “Masia” built in the traditional Catalan architectural style of the region, houses a new gravity fed winery, and a deep underground cellar.

With a beautiful straw yellow, this fantastic Cava spends no less than 48 months in the bottle after the second fermentation. As with the rose, the grapes are hand picked and selected from the best part of the estate. It shows a complex nose of apples, lemon zest, orchard fruit and chalky mineral. Very refined, balanced with a long aftertaste.

A beautiful light cherry color, the rose shows aromas of bright cherries, cranberries, and herbal notes. It has a focused personality and a very refreshing and pleasant aftertaste. With a nice weight and well balanced, the bubbles are small and the acidity just perfect for a rose Cava than can be enjoyed with all kinds of dishes.
